This article talks about the how Madrid is dealing with racism in the sport of Football (soccer).

What I think is interesting to note about this article is that in this case, the words had more power than the kids really realized. I relate this to the debate about the "N" word because this shows another example the power that words can have over people. If children are not taught the magnitude in which words can impact an individual, you have cases like this where a child's naivety becomes bigotry.

Colbert Report kills it in Korean. It isn't that its racist or anything, but this piece plays off cutural stereotypes. So how much of this is healthy in comedy? Does comedy ease our racial tension, and heal us, or does it perpetuate problems by highlighting differences?














By the way on an unrelated subject, I think Comedy central's Mother load is the greatest thing ever created. I think it is the future of TV. As internet speeds increase and bandwidth is increased and the end user technology is improved TV and the internet will merge just like this. TV cable netflix video stores all will be a thing of the past. Cheers to the future.
